Hi, my name is Carl Paul. I was born in Grimsby in 1962, I'm married to Sylvia and have two children Daniel and Lauren.

My interest in art started at an early age, at school the teachers always called upon me to help them with the art and design, ie. Christmas concerts, plays etc.

When I left school in 1979 I enroled in the Grimsby College of Art and Design. As you will see, I like to paint in many different styles and subjects, from wildlife and landscape to portraiture. My favourite artists are Van Gogh, Degas, Monet and Renoir. It's their use of colour and bold strokes to create their work that impressed and influenced me at such an early age.

I am a member of the North East Lincs art society and my work is currently for sale in the Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, the Discovery Centre, Waltham Windmill Gifts and Interiors and the Tourist Information Centre in Cleethorpes.
